Classes are offered at selected nursery schools including Eugene Marais, Groenie Nessie, Kiddo, Kiri-Bienkies, Little Heaven, Nuuskierige Agies, Queenswood Klein Q’s, and Voorpos, as well as at our Villieria studio.
Located in Villieria, Pretoria, Lizette Mattheus Ballet Studio provides classical ballet training in a nurturing and encouraging environment where dancers develop confidence, discipline, grace, and a lifelong love for dance. Classes are offered for children from their earliest introduction to ballet through to advanced levels, with students guided through a structured syllabus and prepared for annual external examinations.
The studio offers classes both at selected nursery schools during school hours and at the Villieria studio in the afternoons, making quality ballet training accessible to families throughout the Moot and surrounding areas.
Under the leadership of Lizette Mattheus, students are encouraged to develop strong technical foundations, musicality, artistry, confidence, and performance skills. The studio focuses on the development of the whole child, creating a positive environment where every dancer can thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Students participate in examinations, rehearsals, performances, and concert productions throughout the year, providing valuable opportunities to build stage experience, teamwork, and self-confidence. The studio has a proud history of contributing to large-scale dance productions and fostering a genuine passion for classical ballet.
